Science Alive puts the awesome back into science by teaching the next generation in an exciting, hands-on way. The interactive family expo is back in Adelaide.
With opportunities to program a robot, take a virtual tour of the universe, interact with native animals, fly a drone, make some slime or get up close to a Dalek, Science Alive! has a broad appeal for all ages.
In addition to scientific organisations, a number of South Australian and international businesses are exhibiting, demonstrating jobs of the future and providing hands-on opportunities for people to try out some cutting-edge science and engineering tools.
Live shows run across each day, featuring explosive chemistry, planetary science, scientific circus tricks, Australian wildlife, invertebrates and Curiosity Show legends, Rob and Deane, presenting their Optical Illusion Show.
In a first for the Adelaide event, the Army Drone Racing Team will be in action. Kids of all ages will love talking to the pilots and having a go at flying a course.
And getting into the space theme that’s got everyone so excited right now, the whole family can view the night sky in three huge stardomes, see some developments in the South Australian space industry and chat to astronomers about their favourite planets.
It's a great day out for the whole family. Kids U15 are free.
