Rodney Carrington - Here Comes The Truth Tour
Experience a rupture of fun as America's King of Country Comedy Rodney Carrington brings his comedy down under with his Here Comes The Truth Tour.
Being one of USA’s Top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians, Rodney has sold over three million albums, starred in the hugely popular 2004-2006 sitcom “Rodney”, saw a staggering nine million viewers tune in to catch his one-hour Comedy Central TV special, and has a whopping 1.1m Facebook followers. He also has a new single called ‘Vote For Trump’ (#2 on iTunes Comedy Charts).
Following a monster two-year sell-out of US & Canadian tour, Carrington is making his debut trip this August for a series of club dates – kicking off in Darwin, then will stop by Adelaide followed by Rooty Hill with two consecutive performances, will visit Sydney, will do another back-to-back performances in Melbourne then will proceed to Townsville and Sunshine Coast. The tour will culminate in a performance in Rockhampton.
Rodney Carrington live is unadulterated, outrageous, (occasionally) sexually charged and always hysterically amusing! His most recent album, Laughter’s Good, was released on his own label Laughter’s Good and landed at #1 on the US Comedy charts.
Hailing from Longview, Texas, Carrington first started in the comedy club circuit and local radio, before serving his debut LP Hangin’ With Rodney in 1998. From there, his career boomed: there’s a feature film with Toby Keith – Beer For My Horses (winner of the Tex Ritter Award from the Academy of Country Music). Gold and platinum sales across 10 albums, including releases such as C’mon Laugh You Bastards (2001), Nutsack (2003), King of the Mountains (2007), plus a Greatest Hits (2004), out now via Capitol Records. In 2007, he co-authored Rodney Carrington, Coming Clean (Hachette Books). He’s a regular on media channels like the Sirius Radio Network, CMT, ESPN2, Fox, and countless Comedy Channel specials. He even won ‘Supporting Character of the Year’ from the CMT Music Video Awards for his appearance on the Trace Adkins’ music video “I Got My Game On”.
"A gonzo country comedian...a Molotov cocktail of stand-up and satirical songs." - AllMusic.com
Carrington also gives back to those in need through the The Rodney Carrington Foundation, a non-profit organisation he established.
Rodney Carrington goes where other comics fear to tread. Don’t miss out this fearless comedy show!
