Nick Capper is one of the only agricultural-based comedians in Australia or the world. He's also one of Australia's oldest comedians. Arriving here on the first fleet Nick opened Australia's first comedy club in 1788 entertaining mostly ship folk, stonemasons and sheep dogs. His best act was called Ratboy McGee, an emu that did great impressions of Captain Cook and the botanist Sir Joseph Banks.
After releasing his first comedy special on pianola, Ratboy was tragically killed in a knife accident, but Nick Capper lives on doing comedy over 200 years later! You can't match talent with this many years of experience.
Capper is a comedian who is comfortable in chaos. He may have you on the edge of your seat wondering if he knows what he’s doing, but don't be fooled—having been in the comedy game for over ten years, his fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants style is all part of the charm. Following his sell-out 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival run, Pig In The City is Nick Capper's tumultuous take on what it's like to be a boy from a cotton farm in regional NSW moving to the big city to pursue comedy.
"Nick Capper is the real deal. He has funny bones and a wild imagination that spins amazing stories." - Anne Edmonds
"He creates a peculiar take on reality that has quirky appeal and images you’ll remember." - Chortle, UK
