Escape the stress and busyness of life and discover the peace of meditation for yourself. Be guided through simple meditations that relax the mind and body, leading to a deep experience of inner peace and contentment. These retreats are suitable for everyone, and provide an excellent introduction to meditation. Taught by qualified Kadampa Buddhist teachers, they offer a unique opportunity to experience stillness within in the tranquil setting of a mountainside temple in the lush Dandenong Ranges.
The courses begin with dinner at 6.30pm on the Friday night and finish with lunch on Sunday. There are plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind in our beautiful gardens and natural rainforest. The retreats are catered with delicious vegetarian food, and there are a range of accommodation options. All you need to do is relax and enjoy yourself. Booking is essential—please book early to ensure a place.
The teacher of this course and retreat is Buddhist nun Kelsang Shechog. Shechog is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington in New Zealand. She has inspired many people through her kindness and loving example and is much loved for her gentle manner, inner strength and clear, skilful teachings.
