Learn how to draw a Tarbosaurus with program officers Pippa and Adrienne in this fun online kids’ art activity – a one-hour long, presenter-led drawing webinar.
Perhaps you’ve already seen the rare cast of Tarbosaurus on display in the Dinosaur Walk at Melbourne Museum? Well, now it’s time to pull out the art supplies and get inspired because we’re going to bring it to life! Think great big teeth and jaws, a very large, strong body and the teeniest, tiniest arms!
Fun fact: the Tarbosaurus is a therapod, thought to be the Asian cousin of everyone’s favourite dinosaur – the Tyrannosaurus Rex! The cast of our Tarbosaurus comes from bones found in Mongolia.
The webinar will take place over Zoom, with details being sent out a few days prior to the event. All you'll need are pens, pencils, texters and paper (or whatever artists’ tools you prefer!), a reliable internet connection, and a roarsome sense of fun! It’s perfect for kids’ aged six and up. Parents or guardians might like to attend as well – everyone is welcome!
After you've completed your drawing, why not book tickets to Melbourne Museum and come along to see the Tarbosaurus and their friends in real life? You could even bring along your finished artwork for a show-and-tell, or go on the hunt for our 100 Tiny Dinosaurs hiding out in all the different galleries!
We hope to see you there!
