Sleep At The ‘G, Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM) annual fundraising event to help end youth homelessness, is back on Thursday 21st May 2020!
Sleep At The ’G is an opportunity for people to spend one night at one of the world’s most iconic sporting stadiums—the mighty MCG—where compassionate Victorians will come together in support of the thousands of young people in Melbourne who don’t have a safe place to call home.
On the night, sleepers will learn more about the issues facing young people, hear first-hand from youth who’ve experienced homelessness and meet the incredible team of youth workers who are on the front line of the fight to end youth homelessness.
This year, MCM is aiming to beat the 2019 fundraising target $1.2 million and impressive attendance record of 2,000 sleepers. The success of the 2019 event funded the redevelopment of Frontyard, MCM’s pioneering 24-hour youth support service that helps get young people experiencing homelessness. This will be the eighth year for MCM’s flagship fundraising event, which encourages registrations from workplaces, community teams and individuals.
Proceeds from Sleep at The ’G 2020 will contribute toward the relocation and redevelopment of one of MCM’s youth refuge services, to support young people experiencing homelessness in the west.
For more information on how to register as a workplace, community group or as an individual, please visit the official website.
