Did you know that a gallery in upstate New York was recently involved in a legal dispute to have a public art installation on the façade of its building recognised as art, and not illegal signage? Join a lively discussion in which our guest speakers explore the topic of censorship.
Armed with real life examples, this conversation will consider the current legal frameworks and challenges of presenting new work in public spaces. Together, we will explore what information to provide visitors in relation to content and appropriate warnings and where to go for the best advice if you ever find yourself in hot water.
There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions. Please be mindful, this is not a session to provide you with individual legal advice.
