Tender is the Night

Known for transforming venues with the sound of strings, this season of Tender is the Night will make itself at home at Goolugatup Heathcote for the opening show in a series of intimate, one-of-a-kind concerts.

Kicking off on Sunday, 27 November, ARIA-nominated and multi award-winning Afro-Kreol singer and songwriter Grace Barbé and Jack Davies, one of Perth’s powerful young folk storytellers and acclaimed songwriters will be at the helm as one of Melville’s favourite music events returns for a second season.

Every performance of the season features a suite of songs by renowned local singer songwriters, with string scores written by classical composers and performed by the Tender Strings Quartet.

Audiences are invited to immerse themselves in the work of each performer and the beautiful arrangements of ten different composers, as each piece comes together for the very first time in front of a live audience.

Grace Barbé and Jack Davies will be taking to the Tender is the Night stage on Sunday, 27 November with Joni in the Moon and Natasha Shanks to follow on Sunday, 12 March 2023.
