Settling recent rumours, pioneer shoegazers My Bloody Valentine have announced that they are returning to Australia for a long-awaited tour in February 2013.
My Bloody Valentine will be performing in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for the first time in 21 years.
Frontman Kevin Shields and co-founder Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums) started the band in Dublin, Ireland in 1983 and their uniquely hypnotising guitar effects and vibrating volume revolutionised alternative rock in the '80s, seducing a generation of fans.
After reuniting in 2008 with Bilinda Butcher (guitar and vocals) and Debbie Googe (bass), My Bloody Valentine has embarked on a series of tours worldwide, thrilling fans with riveting guitar riots and showcasing their critically acclaimed Loveless album from the '90s.
Tickets to see these inspiring Irish rockers on their long awaited return to Australia will go on sale at 12pm Thursday October 18.
