With current single ‘Border On Control’ building up the hype, and debut LP 'In A Restless House' having landed at triple j’s Feature Album, Melbourne four-piece City Calm Down are now all set for their biggest capital city shows to date this September. The band will be tearing up stages in Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Wollongong.
“Their anthem-like instrumentation completely floods the space they inhabit…this band are as compelling to watch as they are to listen to.” – Musicfeeds
“It’s easy to see why City Calm Down have sold out this tour, and where the hype comes from.” – Life Without Andy
Recently highlighted by NME as one of the bands to check out at Brighton’s The Great Escape, enjoying a set at Liverpool Sound City and selling out London headline shows, City Calm Down’s previous 10-date album tour totally sold out.
Joining City Calm Down by support are Ali Barter (all shows bar Maroochy) and Middle Kids (Brisbane, Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne). Melbourne’s Barter recently covered Tame Impala’s ‘’Cause I’m A Man’ for Like A Version, and her own ‘Far Away’, wooing crowds at 2016’s St Jerome’s Laneway festival. Meanwhile, Sydney trio Middle Kids' first single ‘Edge Of Town’ landed on triple j play and FBi 94.5’s Independent Artist of the Week.
These September dates promise to be epic, so grab your tickets and Catch City Calm live!
